I hope you will get some info about this Wonderful system on this page!.Me myself use Slackware 3.5. And WHEN not IF you decide to buy linux. Then you will get the big thing called "POWER".
The Man Behind Linux!
Everything started back in 1980 in a university in Helsingfors (The Capital Of Finland (Europe) ). The Student Linus Torvald had on a School tried Unix for his first time. All since that time his heart had beaten for Unix. To be able to use Unix at home he ordered an expensive Unix Clone called MiniX. But MiniX wasnīt exactly what Linus had in mind. Thatīs why he started his project. And pretty soon it became a good and stabile system, and later the name of the system became Linux. Linus also wanted the system to be Free (FreeWare) and that the source code also should contain with the system. Today Linux is used at 1000:s of computer any exactly number is hard to say because it is freeware and can be downloaded at no charge and bought on many homepages and some stores.
